We have 2 windows on the coop that are near a fence, the wind doesn't blow that direction. I had decided before to leave those 2 windows uncovered for ventilation. I plan to cover the run with clear plastic sheeting on all sides except for the one side that is against the fence. I am going to leave about 6-12 inches open on the bottom for vetilation as well. It isn't so much that they will be freezing but enough to let some air flow thru. I have a thermometer that reads the temp and humidity inside the coop, it sends the info to me inside the house so i can monitor the temp & humidity in there, thats how I make sure the humidity stays as low as I can and how I know the overnight temps and stuff
