Has anyone used the heating screens that look like little computer screens, and would one be safe to use inside a very small coop this winter, or would a heating pad be the best and safest way to keep 3 chickens warm? I'd love any other ideas as well about how to keep them warm inside a small, thin walled coop. It can get as low as about 10 degrees here. Thanks!!

10 degrees isn't too bad and generally a healthy bird can tolerate that even in an uninsulated coop.

This said, I have a panel heater attached to the wall in front of my roost bar, similar to your screen heater. Mine heats up to about 150 F. I use it if the temp is going to dip below zero. I have tried to use it at 5 F but they all move away from the heat. Chickens are designed to stay warm, it takes pretty cold temp or a wet coop for them to get cold. Make sure you have good ventilation in your eaves, about 1/2 square foot per bird. Never close your vents all the way no matter how cold, the moisture chickens produce needs to rise and go out the roof instead of falling back down as frost.
