Hector's World: Adventures and Mayhem at Mountain View Poultry (or Sequel to The Evolution of Atlas

Pics
Oh, Mary, so much has changed in the past few years, I agree.Besides Cheryl, I've also lost one of the best friends I ever had, Ladyhawk (Cetawin here as most know). She loved Hector and all my chickens, told me he was going to be a good boy, that she could tell because of the expression in his eyes. And she was right-the eyes show a lot about a rooster. Hector's were soft and friendly, though he was quite the brat as a youngster, intimidating the grown hens at 6 weeks old, chasing the less dominant Brahmas who were a couple of weeks younger than him. He was born with an attitude that Hector wants what Hector wants, but he was just so good, so memorable.
We do have Bash, though he is almost 9 years old and I don't expect him to be here by next Fall. That is one big baby, I swear, so affectionate.
