Hedwig the head case! Mental chick!

You can see their pink feathered "mama" in the picture I posted. They all love this thing! Need to make a bigger one because they cuddle up to it and love to roost on it. Just a big cardboard tube with feathers hot glued to it. Flamingo mama! My fussy Hedwig is no longer fussy! I was so worried.

Here are the girls outside scratching around in the area that will eventually become part of their yard. Three of them are starting to get really fluffy feet! The big girls are 4 weeks old and the Silkies are approx 2.5-3 weeks old.

Thank you for the pics everyone looks healthy and happy doing their chicken thing. :love
I think they are doing fine though I do notice a little sneeze every now and then. They are all eating and drinking and very active though so I think they are ok. I change the entire bedding weekly and add fresh chips on top mid week. We are changing the water several times a day. I think we are doing ok for beginners. Just love them to bits!

I really love my chickens too. I make them pancakes I add the fines from the bottom of the bag of pellets, extra egg,oat meal and some instant potatoes I have also added fruit or vegetables. I sit out with them everyday, they are a joy to be around. Getting that first egg is exciting, your girls should start in the spring. Do you get a cold winter where you live? Have you started building your coop? The little sneeze just once in a while is probably just dust.
