So I'm not sure if there is one, I searched and did not come across one... so here are a few pictures of my Red Queensland Heeler Trixie's Kitten aka Trix or Trixie. She's 1/4 dingo, and got her 'saddle' from her grandsire.

Trixie goes everywhere with me. To the beach, to the race track when I'm racing my cars, she has even saved my life. It was Trixie who ran to the neighbors when I was drug by my horse Nov. 2, 2008 and broke my back. Tari made it home without me, so they were already on high alert. About the time they got Tari caught, Trixie showed up at their front door barking and raising heck. They said she wouldn't shut up until they followed her, and she led them to me about 100 yards just past their line of site on the road. Long story short, I literally owe my life to this dog.

She herds my horses for me, cattle or pigs she's not picky, and has been known to bite a hand or two. Trixie is one of those dogs where you can NOT touch her mommy when she's around. If she's in the back of my truck, and I'm not around, she's even been known to bite those she knows very well. They were in HER truck darnit. This dog is my world. She's my left side, my right hand, and my heart.

So post pictures of your heelers, of any shape or size, and lets get going!

Here's my girl this last Halloween, we were visiting a friend who lives several hours away and I managed to snap this AMAZING shot when she came around the corner.

We've got a red heeler too. He's been a great dog and very faithful in watching over our animals! He likes to tease the horses, but he's great with the chickens. He also used to herd our goats around when they escaped. His name is Dalton and he's 9 years old now. He's just starting to slow down, which is sad for us, but we hope he has many more years with us. Dalton has always been a great working dog, but like yours he's not great with strangers. He's also never been good with children so we do have to put him away when we have kids over to our property. Here are a few pictures of him. He actually has a similar facial structure to your girl!

I have so many pictures of this dog it's crazy! Those are just a few of my favorites.

- Me. Too. Half my pictures have Trixie in them either by accident or not.

I'm SUPER jealous of his coat! Do you get him trimmed? Trixie is a medium haired variety, I was hoping for a more dingo/short coat when I got her. Does he shed like mad? I swear I sweep up two sweepers full a day when she comes in the house.

There's just something about heelers that stick deep to you, extremely hard working, so willing to please, plus being very tough and very focused. I have a heeler and a heeler husky mix and they have been my closest companions since I got them. I used to manage a dog rescue, they came in as puppies with a group of horribly sick dogs from a run down high kill shelter in NM. They must of been under 6 weeks old, they survived though and I brought them home. They go everywhere possible with me, and went almost daily on long walks (needed due to living in an apartment at the time). I'll be moving soon to a place with land where they can actually live how they were meant to.

Bluewater (the heeler) is always at my side, he was the first dog in the group to learn his name and was the most stubborn pistol of a puppy. He has evened out a ton as he grew, although were getting past the teenage stage where he's trying to figure out his place and test his boundies, although in the end he is my dog and will do anything to please me (the worst punishment for him is to be kept away from me). He has not been around any farm animals yet though, and nothing to test his herding instincts. He grew up surrounded by dogs and meeting new people, so luckly I dont have issues with socialazion, he is wary of strange men though and loud kids.

Hawk is a heeler husky mix, possibly some border collie in there too. She acts towards the heeler side though more then the husky although shes talkitive like huskies are (actually moreso growly when she wants attention, she will growl loudly and wag her body so hard she looks like shes siezing when shes excited or wants your attention). She is very ditzy and very cute even if she does tend to have her head in the clouds more often then not. She gets along with everyone and every dog.

Ive got a heeler that wont listen when called. Anyone got any advice? Ive tried different collars and even a shock collar to get her to listen to commands

Beautiful dogs and wonderful pictures!

I also have a Heeler, which we named Bindi. We wanted an Australian name and after searching a map of Australia found that there are several towns in the country named Bindi, so we picked it! She was a year old on Feb. 1st and she has been the most energetic, fun dog I've ever owned. She is going through a stage right now though where she is liking to just run off and it's driving us crazy. We will take her outdoors and she will be right by our sides and all of a sudden just bolt no matter how hard we try to call her back. She just won't listen. She dashes across an acre like it's nothing (these dogs are as fast as lightening!) and goes across the road. It scares us all to death, as we don't want her to get hit. Any ideas on how to break her of this other than the obvious putting a fence up? Are yard is two acres (just the yard, we have 6 more acres in the back) and fencing that in just isn't in the works right now if we can avoid it. She loves to be outdoors and play frisbee but right now she can't have that freedom because she just doesn't listen. The trainer we took her to for puppy classes doesn't understand this as she is supposed to be a territorial dog and not like to leave her property she says. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated because Bindi is getting really tired of the leash.

She has always slept with her tongue sticking out! She still does it to this day.
