Heinz 57 chickens/ crosses

Ya'll have some purty chickens!

Here's a couple of my crosses...

"Shikaka"- my only white chicken. I THINK her sire is RIR/EE x BO. I'm not sure what breeds are in him, but I know that her mom was either a purebred RIR or BR (which do you think?). Do you see her one dark feather?

And here are a couple of my treasured BO x BR pullets. They're three months old in the pics. They're now almost five months old, and several are laying! They've become even prettier, with big full bodies and large red combs.

I had a bit of a 'Whoops!' about 6 months ago.. My black not-so-silkie bantam X hatched out a couple of eggs where the only possible father was my big light Sussex roo... They are some really unreal looking birds! Lol
I wish i had pics to show you, one is tiny (she's about the size of my hand held open) and looks exactly like her daddy.
And one is a roo, that is the size of a bantam that has the sussex colouring, aswell as the fully feathered legs and poofy head feathers.
They definitly add a bit of variety to the yard... Lol

First two pics are older, last 2 were taken about a month ago. Im not sure of the cross, it's a silkie cross..maybe with an EE or a laced bird? Dunno, but he's a cutie.

He looks a bit stupid in that picture lol.

This is squeaky. Her mom is a japanese and father was a white cochin bantam (She is the silver penciled looking hen)

This is grace. Mother was a red frizzle cochin bantam and father was a gorgeous Light brahma bantam. Grace was hatched with 3 other eggs all from the same parents. I got 2 roos and 2 hens out of that deal. Grace and a rooster were frizzled and dumplin who is graces sister was straight feathered, the other rooster was frizzled on one side and straight feathered on the other side.

Squirt is an EE/cochin cross and lays tan eggs, seems to me if you cross an ee with a cochin and they have a straight comb, their eggs will be the same color as a cochins, if they have a pea comb they seem to lay blue eggs

Psycho.... I mean Shadow is also an EE/cochin cross and lays a beautiful blue egg and has a pea comb

The pullet at the back of the pic is a black laced blue mystery mutt
