Coming to you from lovely Idaho. My family and I just fulfilled our dream of buying acreage!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No chickens yet, but we have 4 week old ducks and geese
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 14 birds all together
(3) What breeds do you have? We have 8 female Pekin ducks, and 6 Toulouse geese
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love seeing them grow and change and they are all so funny
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Amateur homesteaders over here. I love to bake and cook and craft. Currently teaching myself to garden.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Married to a sweet man, one wild child (daughter), we have a red poodle named Ginny, stay at home, homeschooling mana.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I found the forum in a google search a few years ago, I’ve been kind of waiting to join cuz I haven’t had birds, but now I dooo!
