Welcome to BYC!Hi, I’m a backyard chicken pets keeper since a year or so ago. The owls got one over on me (I didn’t think they came in this super-packed and well-lit subdivision) and took out 3 of my 4, but I’ve got another little flock on order, plus the one turned-out-to-be-a-roo who was a mercy take due to his gimpy wings (that filled out beautifully, pictured here). We’ve also got four cats, a Doberman, and a Weimaraner. Nice to meet y’all!
Thank you! I miss them—the lavender maran, especially; she felt like a kindred spirit, and sat on my shoulder so peacefully. And the little blue splash Silkie was such a fun and silly thing, always playing with the others and bringing joy. Definitely not the way I wanted to see them exit this realm.
