I was gifted 6 baby chicks after we had a fire and my previous babies were killed. The only thing I know about them is that they came from a woman who ordered 100 chicks through Tractor Supply and then did not come get them. 6 out of the 100 were given to me, but no one remembered to get the breed info.

At 3 months old one of them got a very deep voice, a big wattle and comb and bigger feet, so I figured I had accidentally gotten a rooster. Until today when I saw her trying to get into the coop to lay an egg. Yesterday we go our first baby egg and today she laid another. So can you guys help me figure out what breeds my babies are?

Welcome to BYC!

Sir I'm not sure on, what color eggs does she lay?
Emo is a Black Sex Link.
Jane and George I believe are some sort of production breeds.
Fredrick the Lady is a Red Sex Link.
Gertrude is a Rhode Island Red.
She lays pale eggs. Hers is the tiny one.
Sir and Emo started out looking exactly the same. Sir’s name was originally called Goth, they were both solid black. Emo has orange feathers on her chest
