Any guesses on breed?

Just picked these up from Bomgaars (like Tractor Supply). Labeled as “Hatchery Choice Layers”. They’re brand new babies so I don’t know if it’s too early to get a good read but I’m down for some guesses!

Pictures are as good as I could get without holding them lol jumpy things. Orange is pretty chill though (pretty sure she has pasty butt though -.- so will deal with that when we get home)

The first one looks like a New Hampshire or Rhode Island red, but the feathers coming in on the wings seem paler than normal. So not entirely sure on that.

The black chick could be something like a Mystic Onyx, which is a hybrid bred for black skin. Not sure what else it could be.

I will say the other chicks in the bin were almost a shade darker than the orange one I got, there was one other that was similarly pale in comparison. It’ll be interesting to see how they grow!

I can't tell either way, but I believe Silkies are a part of the mix in making Mystic Onyx chickens. Stores generally don't sell random mixed breeds but they do sell many of the hybrids created by hatcheries.

Little update, the red chick seems to be a New Hampshire red based on how fast she’s developing her feathers, thoughts? She’s 2 weeks old now
