Hi all. I have not been on here since 2013. I was raising Rhode island reds then & lost them to a coon. Then i had a baby. Baby had liver disease. Baby got liver transplant. Life went kinda back to normal so now I made a better coop & went & got myself 6 barred rock chicks.

I am so happy to be back to chicken rearing!!!

Sorry for your losses to the coons. Predators can be brutal. And of course I am very sorry your baby had liver disease! That must have been a rough time for you.

But it is great to have you return!! Adorable Barred Rock babies you have! I added a few BR's to my flock last year. They are super layers and friendly as well.

Enjoy those new babies and we are glad you have come back to BYC!

Thank you. I picked the barred rock cause I was told they are docile and decent egg layers. My little boy is doing well. Life is good.
