Hello all from East Texas!

Howdy everyone, I'm excited to be here on the Backyard Chickens forum! I've been meaning to make this thread for a while, but life gets in the way. I'm a small hobby farm based in East Texas. My main passion is raising heritage and purebred breeds for conservation efforts, focusing on Wyandottes (heavy emphasis Silver Laced Wyandottes), but also dabble in other breeds (and always striving to breed toward the SoP). As a newbie to the forum, I'm looking to connect with other members, share experiences, as well as some networking. Glad to find this forum and hope to become a more active member!
Welcome. Thank you for raising heritage breeds and staying away from production breeds - I feel so bad for what we have done to the production hens.

It is very sad indeed. Thankfully some of those that have big power, for instance like Frank Reese, are helping sustain numbers as well as other small farms like ours to preserve these birds.
