Well hello and thank you. I have known for some time that when the time came this is where I would need to be. You guys are incredibly patient with those who are new and your experience quite often, IMO, saves the lives of flock members. Thus my reason for being here. I know that I am eggnorant to many things chicken so questions will be asked, in abundance. HA. Again thank you!

After much consideration, a year of going back and forth, I have decided upon Bielefelders, Basques and Light Sussex. I am very much looking forward to having them, but not before their home is built and properly supplied. I would like to say end of summer, but understand that my desire and mother nature may be in opposition to one another. HA. Anyway, I have posted in COOPS and Designs a thread that is titled "AM I on the right path". If you would like to take a look and submit your input, it would be very much appreciated. Building the coop before you get a flock is a wise move This way, once you do get your birds, you won't have to rush into building their housing.

Thank you. I believe it offers them greater viability and is the right thing to do. You don't bring a baby home without a car seat.
