Hello all, help!

I am new to website. I have 5 black silkie hens and on e humongous rooster of the same breed.I have had him in the same coop with two hens and they have produced a bout 30 fertile eggs. I have had them incubating now for almost 25 days. Ihave had 3 pip and I had to help them out of the shells but none of lasted for more than 10 min once they were free of the shells and membranes. HELP!!!!

Wow! He is big!! And NOT a silkie.
25 days is a long time to start pipping.
I've never hatched eggs so I can't help with what might be wrong.

Welcome to BYC, sorry you hatch isn't going well. Can you tell us what incubator you are using and what your temp and humidity has been?

15.6 pounds big and his comb is about haifway up my thigh 23 " high. I am glad he's good natured as I would not like him to be angry at me.

Bator is a Miller mfg Little Giant. Temp has not been below 99.5 and humidity has been low ... Around 47%.

I put some wet towels in the bator this morning after I lost 3rd chick. and not he humidity is up to 79%. I hope I havent lost my whole brood?
