Hello all, I’m new to raising chickens I have four hens in my coop so far two have started laying They are all about 22 weeks old.

out of four different hens all 22 weeks old two,my leghorn and Barr Rock are laying while my Black Australorp and Easter Egger and not laying. Just wondering how much longer for the latter ones I’m noticing her comb starting to grow. Also my Easter Egger is the same but without the growth of her comb.

:welcome :frow Many breeds start laying from 20 to 26 weeks but there are some who may start sooner and some take longer. I have some heritage breeds that take quite a long time before they start to lay. My Leghorns are usually the earliest. Good luck and have fun...
