hello!

I'm Kathryn, my mother, sister, and I have made the step of buying 6 pullets!!
3 are now laying hens, and the other 3 are still not laying yet.
We have 3 barred rocks (these are the ones who are laying now), 1 ameracauna, 1 Rhode island red, and 1 black Australorp. One of the others may have started laying today, we found a very oval shape egg not sure if it was the black australorp or the Rhode island, it was not the ameracauna because it was a brown egg.

Looking forward to getting to chat with everyone and so happy to find a place to source chicken advice and experience since we have almost none!! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to BYC Kathryn! Congrats on those first eggs too.

Glad you stopped by one quick suggestion is to edit in some basic location specifics to your profile. For myself most Canadian and yankee advice is off point and many of our questions are very climate specific. On the PC version it is here:
