Hi everybody, new member to BYC and new to chickens all together. Just wanted to thank you all for all the information we were able to gather the last few months before starting our own flock. BYC has been a phenomenal learning tool and its great to see all the member interaction and sharing of knowledge. I look forward to being a part of this community and learning all I can about keeping our lil feathered "kids" healthy and happy.

Our first flock is comprised of 8 polish chicks and 3 cochin frizzles. We got them as day old chicks and they are currently going on 6 weeks old. I built them the absolute best coop and run we I could based off all the great info I found here. They have a raised 6x8' coop and a completely enclosed 10x14' run. So far they seem to LOVE it

Thank you, we wanted to try and capture the old Wisconsin Polish farm feel. It was a fun project for my Wife and I to do together in our spare time.
