Hi everyone, not sure why its taken me so long to join up I have been on the site constantly for the past couple of months having just had my first hatch which are now 4 weeks old, thanks for all the info on here its been invaluable, looking forward to being part of the community.

Thanks for your welcome, I have had 10 hens for the past year as pets 2 Light Sussex, 2 Belle Blue, 2 Bovan Nera , 2 Warrens / Red ranger and 2 Marans Hybrids, I used to have a White Wyandotte called Matilda and have always wanted Wyandottes again, I love their docile nature and they make great pets as well as being the most beautiful big hens, I purchased 6 fertilised wyandotte eggsand incubated them but only 1 has hatched so i got a couple of day old hybrid chicks to keep my new little Wyandotte company, I move house next month to a place with more space so will be looking to increase my wyandotte flock then. I wanted a Gold laced which is what i got, and i am also hopeful its a she!! Will pop up a picture for your thoughts, ..

Glad you could join the flock! I too was a lurker for two years before joining. Wish I had done it sooner!! Congrats on your chick and great to hear you got some friends for it. Wishing you the best of luck with your house move I'm sure your flock will grow and grow once you have more room. Looking forward to seeing your pic!
