I love my girls, they are the children I never had, and as for my lovely new "Crumble" seeing her hatch and being her mum i feel very responsible, they are very rewarding. Some people choose dogs cats etc, chickens are every bit as loving. I had 2 house chickens when i lived on my own but have since got married and my husband is not quite as keen !!! Matilda my Wyandotte used to love having a bath and then being blow dried..
