I was gifted 9 2 day old chicks on March 2nd of this year, from my sister, who has had chickens for a little over a year now. I unintentionally ended up with one rooster, but we are keeping him for now. I didn't plan on breeding. I solely wanted fresh eggs for the family, and to take a small step toward being more self-sufficient. I loved raising them so much, I got three more chicks to add to the flock!
My mature flock consists of one male golden-laced wyandotte, one black australorp, one barred plymouth rock, two easter eggers, two rhode island reds, and two ISA browns. The younger ones are a golden-laced wyandotte, a silver-laced wyandotte and another easter egger.
I'm excited to grow as a chicken-mama with all of you, and I hope to help some along the way! I have had a lot of questions so far, and google always led me to this site. I have gotten so many answers through you all so far, so thank you!!!
