Hey everyone! My name is Eric and I live in Cobourg Ontario, about an hour east of Toronto. I've always wanted to keep laying chickens, and with the current times and staying at home I figured there was no better time like the present.
I am a contractor so all of my materials for my coop have come from my stockpile from previous jobs, it's quite fun to put that pile of stuff to use finally.
I will be starting with 6 Chantecler hens, possibly getting another 6 next year depending how everything goes. I have a experienced chicken farmer down the road so that's where I will be getting them from, as well as any other help I need. The chicken keeping community has been amazing so far, excited to join your community.
