I am the proud parent of three lovely chickens, two gold comets two and half year olds and one one and half year old australorp. Currently I have a pen in the garage but working on building a coop in my yard. Since I live in the city, I can only have them wandering about 4 hours a day. I'm curious to know what to feed, not feed, as my egg production is erratic and I get a lot of eggs with calcium warts on the outside of thin shells.

About a 16oz cup of 17% Layer crumbles morning and evening, kitchen scraps whenever, and dried meal worms for occasional treat. They also scratch around a lot in their run.
