(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got chickens 4 years ago when we moved from the city to the country
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
40ish? They're hard to count...
(3) What breeds do you have?
orpingtons, wyandottes, leghorn, jersey giants, andelusian,sex links, polish, easter egger, amaraucana, buckeye, various unknowns (incubator leftovers)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I'm in it for the quirks. Chickens are super strange
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Spinning (yarn), making soap, going to school, whatever else seems interesting at any given moment
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 5 sons, my awesome sister lives with us and my crazy dad is trying to live with us. We have a lot of critters. Im not sure I could remember them all.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've been reading BYC for years, especially when we first got chickens. My sister has become poultry obsessed and forced me to join after she did.
