(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
A, I am very new to chickens, I got my first chickens ever, late March or early May.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
A, I only have 4 chickens, (no sense being a glutton and having more eggs than I can eat) lol.
(3) What breeds do you have?
A, I asked my sister, who I got them off of, what kind they were so if someone asked I could tell them...... she said to just tell them the laying kind...I laughed. 3 black ones, and a brown one.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
A, I recently retired and it gives me another tinker project to work with as I am always tweaking my set up.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
A, I ride motorcycles, I fish some, I walk daily with my dog, but since I've retired I am pretty much a tinkerer and like repurposing things.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
A, 3 grown kids, 2 grandkids, 2 cats, a dog, and 4 chickens. d
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
A. while researching an answer about cedar and chicken deaths, I found a thread from this site, so I joined to discuss things.
