(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we first got our chickens in July of this year.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 9 "hens".
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 3 salmon favorelles, 2 barred rocks, 1 Light brahma, 1 easter egger, and 2 buff orpingtons.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Just seeing how friendly and silly they can be. Also seeing them run when they think you have treats!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to read, volunteer, and am trying my hand at gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We foster cats for our humane society.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I needed to know whether 6 of my 9 chickens are roosters, lol!
