Chirping
Hello community! I am a single mom of 3 teenage girls; twin 19 yr Olds and a 13 yr old. I am a city girl who moved to the county and somehow raised twins that are becoming farmers; so far we have accumulated 5 cows, 3 pigs and a horse. Then they decided they wanted to branch out to chickens and ducks. About 6 weeks ago, we started with all straight run, this consisted of 20 Plymouth barred rock and 4 Rhode island white chickens, along with 2 pekin and 1 khaki campbell duck. Then my daughters decided they wanted more so we went to rural king and purchased a variety of silkies, along with 4 rouen, 1 khaki and a mystery duck. Thanks to this community, I found out that one of my Rhode island white is an AmberLink cockerel. Since then I have been silenced, I'm guessing it's from not introducing myself and hope this helps
My only other hobby is being a chauffeur, trainer and mother to my 13 year old fastpitch pitcher. My life revolves around her and her career; due to her schedule I can't work or really invest any time in anything else. This kid works her butt off; which consists of strength training 3/week, pitching/hitting lessons (7 hour round trip drive for a 2 hour lesson) and practices on top of in season travel (100s to 1000s of miles to play in tournaments) her goal to pitch in college, which I'll do whatever it takes to get her there!
