Chickens have always been part of life. Grew up around them along with turkeys, geese, Guinea hens, horses, dogs, and cats.

I continued raising chickens as an adult until moving to the city several years ago. Lucky for me, we moved back to the country and now I have the space.

I have 8 little ladies, 3 Golden Sex Link, 2 Black Sex Link, and 3 black Australorp. So entertaining and I love having the fresh eggs again! My husband has the suspicion that this is only the tip of the iceberg and I’ll be getting more before long (he’s not wrong 😉).

I appreciate the community forum to troubleshoot and look for new ideas. Although I have a long history of raising poultry, it’s been fun to try new things with this small flock.

Thanks!
