I am a second grade teacher who still incubates eggs every year. Luckily the farm I get the eggs from takes the chicks back once we have learned about them. I am currently looking for a pair for Mallard ducklings that I would keep as my "pets" and use their eggs each year to incubate. I grew up with a pair of Mallards from my second grade teacher after incubating the eggs. I loved having them all through elementary and middle school.

Welcome to BYC, and good luck in getting some mallards. TSC generally sells them each spring.
