Another question about coops. I've looked at so many, both tall and short(er) and I'm wondering what will be better for my future girls. I have a friend who has hens that I help look after whenever she's out of town when she needs me and she has a taller coop that I'm more used too. In all of my research, I've read that hens really need the room inside the coop especially when sorting out who sits where on the roost and room to get to the roost and whatnot. All of the shorter ones I've seen in more concerned about if there will be enough room for them to roost. I'm planning on starting out with 3-4 (4 being max, to start or with anyway), and probably a mix of leghorns and RIR's as eggs are important.
