Hello all! As a newbie to raising chickens, I’m so excited to be on this forum! I’m an ‘almost‘ retired RN who is on the way to living the life I have alway wanted. My husband and I recently bought 100 acres upstate NY in the mountains. We currently have 5 dogs, 7 house cats and 9 permanent feral cats (I rescue), 4 goats, 4 ducks, 13 guineas and our 10 chickens. I bought 10 female sexed chicks ~ and now it looks like 5 are roosters! My Henrietta is now a Henry … and I still have to change the other names too. I’m definitely going to be asking questions in the forum… nice to meet you all!
