Hello! I've been reading the BYC website these past few days because my wife and I are planning to build our first coop and run and Google directed us here. A little background....
The "chicken addiction" started with a barred plymouth rock baby chick I received on Easter when I was sixteen. She lived to a happy old age of 10. Just this past February my wife and I got another chicken, this time an Americauna (I think) we named "Betty Mayhem" because of her very active and wild personality. In a few weeks my wife and I are moving into a place where we can have a decent coop and run so we just picked up two more chicks we named "Foxy" (looks kinda like a fox to my wife) and "Roxie" (she takes off like a rocket) so Betty can have some company. The two new chicks are bantams but we don't know how they're going to turn out - we're hoping for at least one Silkie. Maybe someone here might know by looking at the pictures?
Here's some pics and a video!
