We recently bought 4 acres in zone 3 Fernie, BC CANADA. I started a garden centre offering organically grown plants and over half our selection of plants is in soil blocks instead of plastic pots. We received some eggs from a good friend to start our own flock. We are raising egg layers (hopefully) for now but would like to do meat birds as well over the summer.
