Our family is new to chicken raising (except for me... I grew up on a small farm) and we have four girls that were hatched on June 7. Cookie is an Australorp, Princess Leia N'Egg (aka Princess) is a Barred Rock, Lola is a Buff Orpington, and Lucy is a Rhode Island Red. They all have very distinct personalities and we are enjoying getting to know them and learning about them. We would like to thank everyone who contributes to BYC for all of the great information posted here. I stumbled upon the website while out blog-walking and it was an incredibly valuable resource when planning our coop and choosing our breeds. Thanks, and hello!
