I have a nice little horse farm in SE MO and was spending an inordinate amount of time raking the poo from large piles into small piles. So I thought, "Hey, don't chickens have them tiny little rakey things on the ends of their legs? I should get me some chickens to scatter the horse poo." Well, time went on and I discovered they were leaving deposits of their own, usually in large clusters, hidden and stashed here and there. So I thought, "I wonder what one of them round thingums that the chickens plop out would taste like." Turns out they taste pretty good. So I told my friends and family, "Hey you gotta try these things." I found it was easier to find the round ploppy thingums if the chickens had a house of their own and found that I enjoyed the company of my chickens and that even more were merrier.

So, what started as an attempt to reduce my tedious labor turned out to increase my chores list, but with benefits!

NM, I understand your story now, sorry
