Hello hello hello everyone!
My family (wife Beth, Son Jude, coming soon baby Girl & myself Mike) just got in to the chicken game last Sat 5/26. We chose to go with 3 Silkies pullets. We chose these after a lot of recerch. Thus far we are very happy with our pitches. As I continue to recerch I find something new and different and exciting and scary all at the same time. I hope with the help of the Back Yard Community and the good old internet we are able to keep them all alive and happy.
Attached are just a few photos of the coop I built. Along with a few photos of the girls. My 4 year old son named them after his current favored movie the Sandlot. I know I know not age appropriate, but to get some work done with him home you got to do what you got to do. Names, (white one is Yah Yah) (smallest partridge is Squince, because he is the smallest one in the movie) (larger partridge is Smalls).
well that’s a short blip of our chicken family. We look forward to every step of this journey.
Hope everyone is happy, Safe & Healthy
ps, already changed the ramp in to the coop. Our ladies wouldn’t even attempt the one in the photo.
