Hello Peeps,
First, thank you to the folks who created and maintain this sharing site. Another massive thank you to everyone who has already shared their wisdom on the site because I have been perusing the threads for a while before joining.
About me:
I do not have birds now, but when I was growing up my family raised chickens for meat and eggs. We also had ducks, but they were more for bug and snail control. We kept Leghorns and Rhode Island Reds.
My other hobbies are working out, Internet sleuthing, reading and deep linguistic inquiry into Biblical meanings (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Latin) and gardening - not necessarily in that order. I teach English at a community college. I also own two full-blood German Shepherd dogs, one of whom believes she calls the shots in the house.
I found BYC in my searches for information about raising quail. I'm looking forward to building a backyard flock with the advice of you folks and sharing my experiences where they are helpful.
