(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Not new to chickens. I've been raising them going on 7 years now.
I first started out with a small mixed flock of four. They were/are a true delight so I've been adding on new chicks as the years go by.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
15

(3) What breeds do you have?

Well.... I currently have 7 chicks in the brooder, 1 is a mystery bird (I love surprises) 2 RIR, 2 NHR, and I think, 2 Jersey Giants, we shall see....
As for the established flock I have an Australorp, Polish, Buff Orpington, Wyandotte and 3 EE. Variety is the spice of life. ❤

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

Sometimes when I would type in health concerns or general questions about chickens in my browser, BYC forums would pop up. So informative, I learned a lot! Thought I have a bit of experience under my belt, (although definitely still learning) and this seems to be such a supporting community, why not join?

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I love gardening, sewing and sculpting, ceramics too! I have a small art studio where I spend a large chunk of my time.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am a married artist living in Texas. We have 2 rescue dogs and 4 Pygmy Dwarf cross goats. I am dedicated to raising happy, healthy creatures, it brings me much joy in life.

*Edited some spelling :)
