Hello all,
My name is Tilly, and I'm from the Devonshire countryside in the UK. We are new to keeping chickens, we currently have 6 Silkie chickens (colours of which I am unsure of) but we've had them since they hatched and are very smitten with them.
We had such bad luck with our eggs which we purchased, out of 18 eggs only 3 of our babies hatched. We added 3 more along the way.
Our Rooster (my big baby) Honeybadger, who was our first hatch and his 5 ladies... Splash, Blue, Venelope, Rex and Sweetpea.
Our chickens are spoilt with love and affection, they are amazing with my two children, and our labrador and 2 cats. They all sit together in the kitchen when it's raining outside.
I've joined BYC in hope to make new chicken friends, gain more experience and to read more interesting articles.
If there is anything else you would like to know, please feel free to contact me
Warmest regards
