Boss Tom
In the Brooder
I have been wanting to raise a few chickens for fresh eggs, as of this date other things keep taking my time, ie, ice storm and many trees down.
Right now I do not have any chickens do you have right now, as I need to build a home for them, we have possums and raccoons here, so it needs to be sturdy. I will be asking for help with some designs for that.
I will also need some advice on what breeds are the best for eggs.
I believe that having my own chickens for fresh eggs for our use and my daughter her husband and the grandsons will be a healthier addition.
I do have for me several hobbies, one of which is roasting coffee, which is also a micro roasting business. I like boating, fishing, camping with my wife and grandsons. Love hanging out with our grandsons. And a project I have been working on my 1959 GMC Grumman Kurb side, converting to a mobile coffee roaster.
My wife Carol are both retired from our espresso shops, while I still maintain my coffee bean roasting business, my oldest daughter Jamie is living with us so she can obtain her nursing license.
I just today found BYC while I was checking out a story on purchasing rabbits for meat ( which I would never butcher a rabbit unless we were starving) the reason for that is I have had pet rabbits for many years, chickens, beef, turkeys and so I will but not cute little rabbits and hold no animosity for those who do!
