Granny's gone and done it again

Had another ... discussion... with our boy. You know, he's just so awesome in some ways and then so surprisingly backward in others. I keep having to explain thngs to him that I think should be understood, and he's like, I don't get it, or I don't see it that way at all. So the latest thing is this. He'll just walk out the door without saying anything to anybody, or he'll say, I'm going on an adventure, and he'll be gone all night. We have no idea who he's with, where he's going, what he's doing or when to expect him back. And the thing is, we know he doesn't drink. There's no girl. We know who some of his pals are but we have no contact info. This college kid disappeared the other day and nobody knew anything until his body turned up in a river in Spain. Anything can happen to anybody. So I laid down the law to him the other day. I said tell SOMEBODY where you're going, who you're going to be with, when you expect to be back, and a contact number. It's a common courtesy plus it's for your safety. If something happened to you, it would give us a starting point, where to begin looking for you. We've had this talk before but this tme I said DH and I are making it a house rule and he said okay. If he doesn't want to tell me or DH, he can tell his sister, I don't care. Tell SOMEBODY. This last time I thought maybe he was the Designated Driver for his buddies, but ... I just don't know.

Dessert for supper was halved pears baked in butter and mixed fruit sauce.
When ready for eating add fresh fruit and dribble with additional fruit sauce, sit down with friends and enjoy it!
The pear is essentially swimming in fruit sauce.
