(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got 3 buff orpingtons last year, lost two to predators and have since expanded into a much larger bantam flock.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
16; 15 bantams and 1 regular sized gal.
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 buff orpington, 2 bantam Brahmas, 4 bantam Cochins (1 is a frizz), 1 bantam Easter Egger, 1 Sebright, 7 unknown breeds.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
During all the googling I did when I was researching chicken keeping, and I keep coming back when questions arise!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I spend much of my time painting/drawing, and weight lifting.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My kids (2 boys) love the chickens. My husband is just along for the ride, he thinks they are cute and loves the eggs but doesn't do much with them. We also have 4 hairless cats, 2 snakes and a fish tank. I work as a wound/ostomy nurse. We are the only chicken owning family in our neighborhood that I know of.
