hi, everyone. I’ve been haunting the site for a while checking out the forum. So finally decided to sign up.
I just got my own flock this spring, but I grew up in a midwestern farm family. I spent a lot of my youth running around what most would consider stereotypical traditional farms. Big grain fields, large vegetable gardens, orchards and berry patches, and all the different “farm animals” you could think of.
Currently I have one cat, a 55 gallon South American Angelfish/Tetra tank and 11 chickens.
Chicken Breeds:
1 Rhode Island Red (RIR)
1 White Leghorn
1 Dominique
2 Blackstar crossbreeds
5 Amberlink crossbreeds
and one unknown white feather footed hen with faint dusty gray lacing that’s darker towards her head. No Roos allowed at my place.
All but the Amberlinks were given to me by someone else.
Despite working retail my animals are my life.
