Hello! Wee introduction post then...
I've not yet got chickens, but we're looking forward to rescuing hopefully 3 chickens soon. Not sure what breed they will be, but happy to be able to give them a safe and loving home.
We live on a Scottish island and we have around a 1/3 acre for roaming - we also have two border collies and are hoping to add a barn cat to the mix at some point too!
I'm a flyballer, with aforementioned collies, and we do love a bit of gardening as well. I'm a science teacher, and I love being out and about, exploring the natural world of the garden and experimenting along the way.
I joined BYC because I've been looking endlessly for advice on certain topics and this forum popped up with all you lovely supportive chicken folk!
