Might be back...
Hi everybody! Newbie here! Just started the whole "chicken thing" two years ago and it is amazing!!!!!!! I currently have 4 chickens, two mongrels and two buff orpingtons. My favorite bantam is the golden sebright and my favorite large fowl is the white faced black spanish. Boy, is that a mouthful! Its really nice to be with you guys because there are no chicken enthusiasts near my place :( Or at least anybody who breeds. But on a happier note, I'm glad to be here!!!!!!!!

You have a couple of what I think are some of the prettiest birds, the Sebring and the Spanish. It would be nice to see a photo of them sometime.

You're in the right place to talk chicken, we're all poultry crazy around here, lol.

Sounds like you have a lovely flock! Seabrights are so pretty and Buff Orps are such friendly birds.

If you post photos of your two mixed - maybe we can identify what mix they came from. Incidentally some mighty fine birds, including sex links(great layers) and easter eggers, ( produce various colored eggs) come from deliberate cross breeding.
 
I'm having trouble posting pictures :( so I have an idea to show you what they look like!!!!!!!! I'll make my avatar a picture of one of them and once you have looked over it I'll change it too the other! This Avatar is Peep but it's not clear so I'll change it after I post!
 
Okay this avatar is Peep. She lays light brown eggs and I know for sure that her mother also layed brown eggs. That's all I know about her heritage. You can go to my profile to see it larger. When you get a good look at it I'll switch it. Oh, in case this helps Peep weighs 3 1/2 pounds, has grown a HUGE comb, and has slate blue legs and feet.
