hello chicken folk

I am a solitary woman in my 60's and have had chickens several times past as I always strive to live in the country. I live on a big organic farm in California(not mine)where we have pigs, cattle, sheep + dog,a pet goat, and a handfull of mixed breed chickens.
I came across this site in my never ending quest for information, which is what I use the internet for. I dont have much time to socialize + I don't know how to type so it's sooo s l o w.
I have lots of hobbys: I fly stunt kites( it's very windy in the valley ) I have a tricked out golf cart I get around the farm (300 acres ) on.and I'm always making/building something. ok thats me.
