It's too bad your older dogs couldn't teach the puppies better manners. Learning from another dog, and getting nipped or knocked over by them, when acting up - trains pups alot faster than a human could. Sorry that was an incredibly long ackward sentence.
Sourland will chastise me for that.!

Puppes should always be on leash around the birds, until you know they will obey you totally. That will take quite some time. Two pups together end up competing with each other and the wicked side will overtake them both.

Thank you all so much for your warm welcome, and suggestions on how to handle the new pups with my chickens. I believe part of the problem is that these were stray pups who were starving, and so the chickens looked like lunch to them. I won't start any training until the puppies have just had a meal and so hunger won't be an issue. I have a shock collar, but that will be my last resort. Wish me luck!
