Hello chicken peeps!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. The best chicken feeder to prevent waste would be some of the PVC feeders. You can see pics of them at https://www.google.com/search?q=pvc...X&ved=0CCkQ7AlqFQoTCJy_o6CD1cgCFVf2Ywode5cH4w. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

We certainly tried a lot of different feeders before finding one that seemed to work the best for our girls. This is the one that's helped us really cut down on waste (I liked it so much, I wrote a review about it):

We found a second one very much like the Blenheim feeder by a different company at TSC for less than $20 and it has also worked well for us (sorry, don't remember the name).

Hope you come up with what works best for you!

I use a large, deep rubber feeder (from the livestock section at most feed stores like Tractor Supply). It seems like having a deep feeder prevents them from pushing it out.

Thanks for all the advice.I think switching from crumble to pellets is my first move.
