Hello,

I just signed up for the BackYard Chicken and wanted to shout out about myself!

I currently live in Jacksonville, Fl but I am actively seeking to move within an hour outside the city.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I am new to chickens. I don't have them yet. I thought about having them in the city and might still do that but would prefer to have a larger lot for them.

I have always been interested in raising them for the eggs.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

I found BackYard Chickens when looking up what breed of Chicken would be best for Northeast Florida for eggs. I am still looking into that question as I got carried away reading other posts.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Short answer: I make and sell quilts, T-shirt quilts, handbags, dog park bags, and rugs. My husband I like to do woodworking and do most of our own home repairs. My husband is in IT. I could not begin to to list all that he can do... he runs a DevOps Team, but he is actively seeking to work from home to so we can live out our dreams.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

We have two indoor cats and a "Chunk the Dog" .
