We are practically neighbors... Did you check the places in Norco that sell chicks for the type you want? There are several places around within 45 minutes or so of Colton. Welcome to the best resource for all things chicken! We are relatively new to the chicken world and I find I can literally spend hours on this site hopping around and reading how to do better for the girls. Ask away and someone will answer...

We live in Yucaipa and have EE's and RIR's. We go to Cherry Valley for most of our supplies as they are very reasonable. My SIL lives in Riverside and has a silkie... I will ask her where she got it. I think that there is a So Cal group meeting coming up at the end of this month and that would be a great way to network and there may be some there?

Also, I just heard back from my SIL and she did mail order chicks...sorry it wasn't a local source that would be less expensive. I am trying to get the link to the FB page for the Lake Elsinore meetup on March 28th... I will post once I get it.
