I end up with 6 hens after my tenant suddenly moved out a couple of months ago, my local hawk took care of two of them already, the remaining four are doing very well and laying about two dozen eggs per week.

One is an australop and I really like her character I am considering adding some more to the flock and I am looking forward to get some more australops I would like young adult hens if some one is selling or donating I will take them in. They will have 1 acre to be free and a 50 square ft shed to spend the night.

Thanks in advance

! Great to have you in our flock! Make sure that thread is predator proof - raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, etc., all love a chicken dinner!
As a newcomer to chickens you might want to peruse the great articles in the Learning Center in the link below - they will provide with answers to questions you didn't even know you had!

Welcome!

Wow! They up and left their chickens?! I am a tenant and moving shortly, not a chance I am leaving my chickens and in fact, flying them 1,300kms to their new home.

Kudos to you for taking care of the girls and

to your tenant!
